Looking for some guidance - I need to export some Maya Arnold toon shaders for a Cinema 4D file but can't seem to get them to export properly at all.
Selecting the shading network from the Maya Hypershade and exporting the .ass from there creates a blank file. And going to the Arnold menu - > Utilities -> Export Selection to .mtlx also creates a blank file, nothing to import into Cinema 4D.
Exporting the geometry with the shaders as an .fbx or .obj also creates a file without Arnold shaders. What am I missing in order to export these shaders between software? Thanks in advance.
I just tested it, and Arnold > Shaders > Export Selected Shaders exported a toon shader, whether I selected the shading group or the Toon node.
In the Hypershade, File > Export Selected Network worked for me.
