Is it possible to change per ray attributes on emit in a camera node!?

Hi!

I'd like to associate trace sets on a per ray basis.

Ideally in my custom Camera Node as the rays get spawned.

I saw an old answer from 2009 that said it wasn't possible but since that was a while ago now I thought I might ask the same question now! :)

Cheers!

Hi Fred.

As far as I know, it is still not possible, since the "camera_create_ray" which is implemented in the custom camera uses a "AtCameraOutput" struct for the output, which is used internally to create a new ray, and this struct doesn't include a traceset. I can't think of any way to set the traceset on the ray before it is used.

Cheers.

Angel

Thanks for your reply!
If you're interested I have a follow up question here as I'm hoping to achieve my goal in a different way.
