I'd like to associate trace sets on a per ray basis.
Ideally in my custom Camera Node as the rays get spawned.
I saw an old answer from 2009 that said it wasn't possible but since that was a while ago now I thought I might ask the same question now! 🙂

As far as I know, it is still not possible, since the "camera_create_ray" which is implemented in the custom camera uses a "AtCameraOutput" struct for the output, which is used internally to create a new ray, and this struct doesn't include a traceset. I can't think of any way to set the traceset on the ray before it is used.
