aiMixShader to base color?

I am trying to connect the aiMixShader to StandardSurface (Base Color) but it's not showing the result image from the aiMixShader (out) to aiStandardSurface (in).

Any solution to this issue?

Thanks

Mixing shaders and mixing colors, two different things.

Base color requires a color input. And mix shader outputs a closure(mix of two closures).

Use AiComposite or LayerRGB for mixing colors.

Thank you Bhuwan for your reply.

But none of these 4 cases are working.

I wanted to connect the result of the aiMixShader to the Base Color to have more operation to the aiStandardSurface.

You shouldn't use it like that. Use it like this with the mix_shader at the root.

Bhuwan Sharma is right. Replace the mix_shader the way you are using it with a layer_RGBA or composite.

Thank you so much guys. It worked now.

My problem also was using the SurfaceShader (in my case boxbox2) as an image instead of using the image (file) as an input only.
