amd threadripper 3970x

Hello guys,
i want buy a amd threadripper 3970x.
I want to know if is a good processor for rendering with Arnold ?
(For now i use Octane render with a 1 RTX 2080TI and 1 RTX 3070 but many memory issue, and the price of gpu become very hight)
I have a amd threadripper 1920x some test with arnold and it's slow, with amd threadripper 3970x it will be very more speed ?

So the amd threadripper 3970x is more speed tham a RTX 3090.

It's confort me to buy it.
