Volume Displacement freezing PC

Hello thank you so much for any help. I am experimenting with volume displacement, but a few minutes into the render the PC completely freezes and I need to hard reset. I only get this when using Volume displacement.

Are you aware of any issues using volume shader that may cause something similar?

I am CPU rendering, temperatures are in range. Intel CPU 32GB ram.

I did try Maya 2020, and Maya 2022 too. Same problem.

I'll attach my shaders which share the same source image, please let me know if you spot anything suspicious. I am pretty much trying to replicate Lee's workflow through camera projections.

Edit: CPU temps are NOT in range, I'm investigating 😛
