Colour hue shift? Colour space - driving me nuts

934-arnoldrender.jpg

Hi,

I have a texture (8bit tga with alpha) and the colour mismatch between Photoshop, Maya viewport, Arnold render view and the saved image is driving me nuts.

I reset Maya 2018 preferences to make sure I hadn't set something odd by mistake.

When the texture comes in and is applied to either aiStandard as emission or a Maya surface shader, it is set to sRGB. Auto convert to tx is on. When Arnold renders it though, a colour mismatch happens. Color management is on in Maya and set to Rendering Space scene-linear Rec 709/sRGB and View Transform sRGB gamma.

No combination of saving the image with/without "Apply Color Management" at its various settings seems to be making any difference.

I've been over the Arnold 5 gamma correction / color space page and there are instructions there that don't seem to match up to Maya 2018.

Thanks,

Anthony

In your Arnold RenderView the exposure is set to 1. I should be 0.
