HtoA overrides per-object displacement

Hello,

I'm trying to setup a few assets, each one has its own geometry node with its displacement settings.

Now I would like to combine them all in another geometry node to be rendered, so I bring them in with object merges, but all their displacement settings get overriden by the settings of the geometry node they're merged in.

Why is that and how can I workaround that ?

Here are some images to explain better. As you can see on the first one the displacement is set up correctly, but when it get merged in the other one it gets overriden.

Thanks !

I dont think the object merged geo has any reference to the global settings of the original container. You could override it with an attribute, but that would not help you at your case.

If you absolutely need to have all your assets under one geometry container you could write the height and zero value into the primitive attributes and use them to multiply and fit range your displacement map in the shader as one option.

Hi Andres, thank you for your response.

I will try as you said directly in the shader.
