What would be the best PC build for Arnold5?

So, right now I’m on a 5k retina iMac and its rather slow. I want to make the transition to a custom built PC for faster rendering across all my 3D software. Specially arnold5. Any suggestions of key parts to maximize performance in Arnold?

Thanks @Stephen Blair Thats good to know. I found this site with this build. I'm deciding between the intel core i9-7950 18core ($1999) and the Ryzen Threadripper 1950X 16core ($999).
