Is there a way to bake the transformation of a polymesh into the vertices.

I am fairly new to arnold, so apologies if the question doesn't make sense

I am trying to bake the transformation of the parent object into the vertices. In maya I would use the freeze transform method or call

pymel.core.makeIdentity(...)

However, my setup requires I do this using arnold python api

I tried to access the vertices from the polymesh node but couldn't do that either.

Where did the Arnold nodes come from? Are you using an ASS file exported from some application?

There's no parent node for Arnold nodes, that kind of hierarchy exists only in the DCC applications like Maya.

Thanks for responding.

Yes, the nodes came from a ASS file exported from maya. I don't need the hierarchy of as this needs to be applied on a specific node with no children.
