nParticleShapes not rendering at correct position

Hey guys, just a quick question regarding a weird issue. I haven't used Mayas standard nParticles in ages, so maybe that has always been the case when rendering with arnold but I'm…confused: I've exported nParticles(cached) to a clean file to import them into the shot files. Importing multiple copies of the same particles into a scene works fine, and I can translate the shape to move them about and see them offset in the viewport just fine. However, arnold always renders all of these nParticle shapes on top of each other (aiStandardVolume assigned, I can see the volume getting thicker because of the multiple copies). It's as if the transforms do not get applied and whatever I tried, I couldn't get them to render anywhere else except their originally cached position, even though I can see their translation in the viewport just fine. MtoA 4.1.0 (6.1.0.0). Need to stay in that version for now, but maybe that's fixed in later versions? Known issue? I can recreate the same phenomenon with all the particle shapes I cached.

Also, two screenshots to illustrate the issue.

Any possible workaround for this atm? I guess exporting them as aiStandins would work, but haven't tried yet and rather would not have to…

Just to add to that: Exporting them as standins and translating the standins works fine. That shouldn't really be necessary at all, though 😉

Well…you still just can't work with that though. The viewport doesn't update the ass sequence when scrubbing the timeline unless I force it to redraw by changing some attributes on the stand-in (like toggling sequence on and off). 2020.2 and .4. Is that intended behaviour? I guess not… I DO need to see them while working ^^

Well… updating the aiStandin while scrubbing works when setting evaluation mode from Parallel back to good old DG. Seriously? It's 2021…

not an answer - but I am seeing some particle points in the same object in the wrong position while others are in the correct position. The incorrect ones seem to be shifted back in time..
