licencing issue outside of DCCs' GUI

hello, I answer you here to this post as i can't answer on your comment:

the problem is that if i send a render to deadline from the same machine, It will not use the licence from autodesk ID.
case 1:
"computer A" send a maya batch render on "computer A" throuth deadline. it will fail because of no licence found. the exact same file send from maya gui batch render button will render fine

case 2 :
I use arnold SDK and I'm not able to render anything without watermark, still on computer A, no matter if I login from licence manager or not

autodesk team thinks it's an arnold problem as they seen that licensing works as it should in maya and in "licence manager"

Are you sure you use the batch render in maya and not the sequencer? Cause batch needs an Arnold standalone license.

Do you have an Arnold subscription? A Maya subscription doesn't include Arnold for batch rendering.

If you have an Arnold subscription, how many? You need one subscription for every machine involved, and you have to sign in on all machines.

What do you see when you use the Arnold License Manager? Can you post the license diagnostics file (click File > Diagnostics in the Arnold License Manager).

And can you please post an Arnold log that shows the licensing error? Use kick -v 5

Christoph, yes, i'm sure i can read batch render correctly 🙂

here is the result of licence diagnostic :

A batch render, even if you start it from inside Maya, happens in a separate process outside of the GUI. So all these cases are outside the DCC GUI.

The timeout before callback was called message means that you are signed in and Autodesk licensing detects that sign in, because otherwise you would get a login requires GUI mode message.

The timeout before callback was called message happens when the Autodesk Licensing Service does not respond within 10 seconds. The problem is not Arnold. The problem is "the Autodesk Licensing Service does not respond". Why is that?

I don't know, because I'm not an Autodesk licensing expert, I just know Arnold.

How often does this timeout problem happen? Every single time? Or once every 100 frames? Or once every 1000 frames? I tested 10K renders and the time to check out a single-user license is usually 2-3 seconds, but every now and again I saw it take 7,8,9 seconds.

The time to checkout is happening with the Autodesk Licensing Service, or maybe the Autodesk Licensing Agent. This is where I think Autodesk licensing support can help.
