Error rendering to disk or mplay with Solaris

While I can render to the viewport in Solaris ok, I'm having some trouble rendering to mplay, or to disk with the usd render rop. I have simple scene which works with

Houdini 18.0.532
HtoA 5.4.0
Arnold 6.0.4.0

But not with

Houdini 18.5.563
HtoA 5.6.1.0
Arnold 6.2.1.0

I get the following in my Windows console, which isn't terrible helpful, but I'm wondering if you all might be able to shed some light on it. The "Traceback from karma 18.5.563..." line seems odd given it's an Arnold render, but that might be a red herring. Please me know if you need more info.

Does Mantra work?
Because import _hou should work no matter what.
I would compare the environment in the two versions (use Help > About Houdini > Show Details)

No, it looks like manta does not work. I get similar errors as in the arnold log.

File "C:/PROGRA~1/SIDEEF~1/HOUDIN~1.563/houdini/python2.7libs\hou.py", line 32, in <module>
import _hou
ImportError: DLL load failed: The specified procedure could not be found.

I diffed the env versions. Anything in particular I should look for?

I forgot to mention that I am able to render to disk using Arnold with the old ROP workflow in Houdini 18.5. That's why I assumed this was an Arnold/Solaris issue.

I would look at HFS, PATH, and PYTHONHOME

18.5
PYTHONHOME C:/PROGRA~1/SIDEEF~1/HOUDIN~1.563/python27
HFS C:/PROGRA~1/SIDEEF~1/HOUDIN~1.563
18.0
PYTHONHOME C:/PROGRA~1/SIDEEF~1/HOUDIN~1.532/python27
HFS C:/PROGRA~1/SIDEEF~1/HOUDIN~1.532

The PATH variables are too long to post here.renderToDisk_pathEnv.txt
