Export .ass from inside HDA object network (Houdini)

Hey guys,

I was wondering if it was possible to write .ass files for objects living inside Object Networks in SOPs. I'm making an HDA to bake out .ass files for instance fragments and instance geo, and I can't point the "force objects" to an embeded "object network" inside my HDA. It renders nothing in the .ass file. However if I point it to a "/obj" level object, it does it just fine. My workaround ideas were to set the display flag to the current node, and render the object level container it's in, or creating a container at object level w/python, object merging the geo, writing the .ass then destroying the temp container. Is it not possible to render objects contained in SOP level objnets?

In case anyone is wondering, I found you need to put a camera node inside the objnet and point the ROP to it in order for this to work. The camera doesn't have to be anything special, just there.
