How to manage a Normal and height map together

I have a Normal map which I use via aiNormalMap. I also have a height map which I am using via a displacementShader.

Is it possible to use the height map via an aiBump2D and then put aiNormalMap and the aiBump2D into the Normal Camera attribute of the aiStandardShader

OR

Is the current setup using displacement for the height an acceptable method?

Thank you

A tutorial on combining bump and normal can be found here.

thank you (liked and rewarded).

I cannot replicate this as the example shows a normal camera attribute in the bump2d node and I do not have that (images attached).

Is it possible to add or maybe it has been removed in the more recent version?

thank you again

If you try and connect it anyway, it should bring up the connection editor and you should see it there.

@Lee Griggs

thank you (liked and rewarded).

I have not used the connection editor before. Normal Camera does appear after checking Show Hidden (took me a while).

I am unsure whether to use the height map via a displacement node or via bump2d but at least I can do both now and see the results. One youtube video used displacement for height and the normal in bump. I now believe it may be better for aiNormalmap for normal and bump2D for the height (but I am relatively new to it all).

I have added a screenshot for anyone else following.
