Do you have write access to the folder where that texture lives?
yea its on my home computer, another renders like a corona, vray , eat it with no problem, and another error in console, Houdini say something like a no memory for converting to tx, but texture weight 164kb.

iv find new way for this troubele ) if some one need it in future, make form jpeg, tif and before save it convert it to 16bit file TX converting is worked again !
This is a regression that was introduced in HtoA 2.2.0 (Arnold 5.0.2.0) that affects 8-bit grayscale textures. We are looking into fixing it in HtoA ticket #988.
