Is there anyway to get Arnold/Maya to force update the Vector Displacement when its sampling subframes for motion blur? I have the vector texture data updating on subframes, but it seems to ignore it unless I specifically set the time to a subframe. (trying to get actual motion blur on the displacement)
This took a while to pass moderation, so I’m happy to say I figured it out. As long as you give your vector maps subframe transitions and enable shader motion blur, you get appropriate blur on the vector deformation.
