Is it possible to use floating licenses to have two renders on one machine?

More specifically, we sometimes have the need to test things in the IPR while waiting for a big render to finish. Since we have multiple floating licenses, is it possible for the IPR to use a second license?

Yes, but it will use just one license.

All renders on the same machine share the same license.

@Stephen Blair

So when you say yes, does that mean it's possible to use IPR while another render is going? At the moment, if I try that I get an error that says another render process is already running.

You can't have multiple render sessions within the same process (eg inside CINEMA 4D).

You can have IPR going in CINEMA 4D, and multiple, separate command-line renders going outside of CINEMA 4D.

Perfect, that makes sense; so if I use kick via command line, I should be good to use IPR as well.

Right, kick and IPR will share one Arnold license.
