GPU Shadow Matte Reflection (indirect specular) STOPPED working!?

I´ve been working a project for a few weeks basically doing all my renders with GPU (loving it) but since a few days the reflections of matte shadow floor stopped rendering in GPU and only show up in CPU... (shadowcatching still works on GPU)

I am very positive that this has worked on GPU before and have no idea what happened.
Updated to Maya 2020.4 / Arnold 4.2.4 / newest NVIDIA Drivers but it didn´t help.
Any ideas? Thanks

That's one of the things that is not supported yet on GPU.

shadow_matte

Yes

This initial version has a number of limitations currently, including: no support for indirect lighting, no AOV generation, and possibly incorrect self-reflections in shadow-matte objects.

Hello Stephen,

thanks for the reply, I´ve found this site before and understood that it´s "possibly incorrect" but still rendering one way or the other.

The thing that throws me off here is, that I could swear I´v worked on the project for 2 weeks doing lookdev via GPU and also final renders via GPU with reflections rendering as expected.

Are you 100% sure that I am crazy and this has never worked!?:-)
I still have the rendered images - is there a way to see if these were rendered on GPU or CPU?
Thanks

It didn't work when I tested with the latest Arnold.

There isn't a way to check whether CPU or GPU was used.
