Hi, I am getting vertical lines appearing in my reflections while using a vector displacement map on the water plane - I was guided by the Arnold tutorial. The water has an Arnold Properties Modifier with a vector displacement map. I have gone through and adjusted each setting but can not get rid of the vertical lines. My iterations are set to 8 but higher or lower values makes no difference. If I use another hdr image I get the same result - mainly in the bright areas. Please advise, thank you.

There is now a scene file attached to the ocean tutorial. There is also a workflow example at the bottom of the page. If that doesn't help, can you post your scene?
Yes, I have analyzed the scene in the tutorial - but this problem doesn't seem to show up, possibly because it is a close-up view of choppy sea waves and this is a more distant shot. I like how it does the horizontal lines, just need to get rid of the vertical ones. It is late here now so I will post a scene in the morning. Thanks.
Probably a to low resolution hdri, or wrong mapping of it.
Make it environment mapping and use a higher resolution hdri.
You could set the resolution higher if using the skydome.
I added a large hdri 15000 x 7500 and still no improvement. Not sure how to use the skydome - there is no place to add the hdri image. When adding an hdri to the environment slot it is supposed to add a skydome automatically - but not sure how to adjust it. I have added my scene file.city-arnold02a.zip
Here are the setting if you want to use the environment slot.
Set custom resolution to the resolution of your Hdri or a decent value to speed it up.
Also a Camera (aa) of 10 is to high, unless using dof or volumetrics.
Usually 3 - 6 would be good.
