To see if this is what happened here, try simplifying your scene or running on a GPU with more free RAM to see if it solves the crash. Otherwise, upgrading to the latest nvidia gpu driver and Arnold core (available from www.arnoldrenderer.com) might fix the crash //

That's not a lot of memory:

GPU 0 had 2774MB free before rendering started and 1108MB free when crash occurred

How much memory is used for a CPU render (get an Info-level Arnold log for that) ?

Hi.

My GPU is GTX 1660 Ti (6 GB) and it should be ok for one character and one medieval house gameobject. I'm able to render 3 high quality characters and a big scene on Daz3D with Iray.

But I never able to render my scene on Maya with Arnold. I always get error and render stops.

CPU only works but it took ages to complete (I have i7 8700). I must use my graphics card.

I tried on both Maya 2019 and 2022 versions, same problem occurs.

Do you have any idea what is causing to this problem?

Thank in advance.

Log file please?

There's 600 characters limit, I can't copy paste here nor upload file as txt.

Here's an example. I compressed and 11MB log file with WinRar, renamed the .rar file to .rar.txt, and uploaded it: mayaRenderLog.rar.txt

I can upload image files but txt is not allowed for me

I installed OptiX driver directly from the Nvidia website but still same.

I also tested on Maya 2019 version but no luck.

I have found a solution. it is necessary to enable "Adaptive sampling" in the Arnold render settings.

Thank you! It helped me too. I've a same problem but I have a maya 2020 and RTX2070. I tried to render sequence through Arnold GPU in 4K resolution. My scene have only one spot light with a Gobo filter. Now it works after switch on "Adaptive Sampling".
