We have no immediate plans for an official Arnold to Blender plugin.

is this because you have an agreement with autodesk (if you do) ?

No. Arnold is part of Autodesk, it has nothing to do with agreements.
We have to balance time, resources, and priorities, and we can't do everything we want to do.

anyway, i think it has something with blender users. ask a blender user to use anrold--> the answer of 99.9% of users will be "why paying for arnold, if i can have cyclesX for free?"

Except for path tracer SSS, Cycles can do almost what Arnold do but with much faster render time. Why do you need Arnold for Blender ?

I am a hobbyist 3d enthusiast and my main interest in using Arnold as a renderer is for it's powerful NPR features, (OSL/ edge detection, etc. etc.). Blender has a new exclusively NPR renderer called MALT but it is still in an infant state.

In my opinion, Arnold NPR features are the best I have encountered so far which is why I would have loved to have found an official Blender integration. The unofficial integrations i've found in Github are either still under development/buggy or abandoned.
