Maya 2022, MtoA 4.2.1 - baking shader gives a grey output image

I recently made a very simple holographic shader, sith an aiStandardSurface + its implemented thin film, and an additional thinFilm plugged in the spec color (I also tried without that second thin film as it's been deprecated). I then tried to bake that so I could use it in a real time project, but all the output images are black or grey and I really don't know what could be wrong. I checked the UVs as well and nothing weird is going on, so I'm at a complete loss.

Thank you!
