Hello again....
I am sorry for this never ending story but i am still having trouble getting the final result...shaders are working fine now and i rendered the whole sequenc but when i loaded the exr file into ae and played them towards the end i have some frames with watermarks all over...
rendered in 1080 / 1350 and 1080 /1920 and most ofit is fine but in both sequences towards the end
the watermarks appear for ca. one second...rendered stuff before but never had problems like this...
using a houdini indie license Houdini FX Version 18.5.696 python 3 with the according according arnlod setup-
hopefully some one has and idea. thank you!
What kind of Arnold license?
You should enable Abort on License fail.
An Arnold log would show what licensing error happened. A watermark means the license check out fails. But that's all we know until we check a log, and until we know what type of license (for example, a network license checkout failure could be because of a connection problem, or because all licenses were already in use).
ah okay i will check on that later..i had internet problems the other day and no connection for some time...so there need to be a stable connection all the time otherwise the render comes out with watermarks? because i did an over night render and today everything was back to normal without watermarks...
It's probably a timeout...every now and again the connection to the licensing service may take a few seconds too long, and so you get a watermark.
hello again.. really don´t want to open a new topic again so here is a little update...tried to render overnight and this happened :

Hi Stephen,
I am having this same issue. That is why I am replying to this post.
A variable number of random frames have watermarks in almost every sequence I render.
I am using Houdini 18.5.696 and Arnold 6.2.1.1 with a Single-User license.
The internet connection is constant, so your explanation about timeout could explain my problem.
Is there a way to fix this?
Thanks!

If you see this in the Arnold log:
[clm.v2] timeout before callback was called
then the Autodesk Licensing Service is not responding within 30 seconds.
It could be something with the Autodesk Licensing Service, the Autodesk Licensing Agent, or the Autodesk Single-Sigon (ADSSO) components. Some communication between them is timing out.
Autodesk licensing isn't part of Arnold so I'm not an expert. The Autodesk support team has dedicated licensing support people for that.
The usual advice seems to be updating the licensing components eg
