MAXtoA-5.0.0.93 fails to render

MAXtoA-5.0.0.93 fails to render any of my active scenes. Countless errors. How do I revert back to previous version? I don't have time to troubleshoot all night!

What are you rendering?

CPU/GPU?

What are the errors?

What does the log file say?

I'm on Maya and I get a GPU error / Cuda error - Had to re install older version of Arnold. Which worked fine AMD CPU, and 3090 GPU. . I did nt get a log file as I needed to render something so had to revert. Note I could render in render window, just not through Sequencer.

I have the same issues and I want to go back to the last version as well. I can't seem to find the answer on how to revert. I uninstalled 5.0 in the control panel, but when i open Max it's still 5.0.

The Optix denoiser seems to be part of the problem, transparency is another issue. Using Oidn seems to help, but the Arnold Renderview still errors out when using that.

I would also like to just revert until a later date.

To uninstall MAXtoA 5.0.0.93, try using the Microsoft Troubleshooter tool:

OK i got it to revert finally. Here's how I did it:

1. Go to C:/ProgramData/Autodesk/Uninstallers and find the version you want to remove. Run the uninstaller which at first says "install" but it will completely remove Arnold.
2. Go to the online Arnold Download Archive and find your previous version then download it and install it. 4.3.4.12 is the version that i seem happiest with.

Mine seems to all be good now and I am looking forward to 5.0, but like the OP I just need to get some things done today.

Yes, it seems Optix denoiser imager crash Max when used GPU render mode (Nvidia 2060 RTX). Oher denoisers works well.

I was rendering GPU as I have been for the past couple years. I do not have the log file as I have now reinstalled the previous version. I have not read much about anyone else having this problem. I guess I will wait until the next release to try installing again.
