Same scene rendert with GPU - Arnold crashes - Vray no Problem - WHY?
The number of crashes with Arnold is way to high!

Do you have a log to see what is wrong?

Yes, we need a log file to answer you.

Also, have you updated your GPU drivers?

Here is the Log File.

My Config is up to date. Latest Max2022 with all Updates, latest Arnold Version, latest Nvidia driver(Studio Version, RTX3080).

No troubles with Vray.

One of my customers has trouble with GPU and Optix Denoiser, Arnold Crashes with the Optix Denoiser in post(all up to date, with 2080ti).

From the original screenshot, we can see it is a generic Optix crash. It could be almost anything. But the amount of memory left is quite low, so it could be that. Or, it could be the driver.

From arnold-log-stats-profile.zip, I see the driver is too old.

00:01:28  5533MB         |  NVIDIA driver version 471.11 (Optix 60801)

We recommend 472.12 or higher on Windows
The recommended drivers for each new release of Arnold are listed in the Arnold release notes:

Arnold_Log_latest_driver.zip

The amount of memory should not be the Problem, small scene with no textures. (RTX 3080 10GB)

It´s the same with the latest driver, exept the initializing takes longer now.

In the first log, yesterday, there was only 282MB left. So I think it's reasonable to wonder about running out of memory.

It's still a generic crash. Nothing in the stats to indicate why.
Any denoisers in the scene?

If not, the only thing we can do is look at the actual scene. If we can reproduce the crash then we can investigate

Seems to be the optix denoiser crashing. I disabled it and it renders. Reverting to MAXtoA-4.3.4.12-2022 for now.
