Light fog effect and alpha layer output

I would like to build a light beam with transparent or white background.

However, I found that atmosphere volume can not be shown in the alpha layer. And when I changed the background to white, the light is too weak to see. How to deal with this situation?

From the docs:

"atmosphere_volume should be composited using an 'additive' mode such as 'screen' because volumetric scattering is the light that cannot be represented in the alpha channel."

Yeah, thanks for your reply. Actually, I found this doc before, and is there any solution to achieve this light fog effect that I showed in the image?
