is there someone that can make it easy for me to understand quixel texturing in arnold
it never seems to be as sharp as the preview images and it gets confusing with the displacement height , bounds pad, scaler zero how do you set them to be perfect enough to give it that sharp realistic look of any object in my case i used a rock and it was rounded and the edges and not sharp
There is a lot of post production on those previews. I know they sharpen the renders to make it look super detailed. To get something close you need a mix of displacement, normal map and bump map.
You are in Cinema4D so I am no 100% sure of how it works. In 3ds Max you need to connect your bump map to a Bump2D node which then connects to the Arnold Standard Surface Normal slot.

And you can combine both the bump and the normal map, by connecting your normal map to a Normal node. The Output of the Normal node connects to the Normal slot of the Bump2D.
here is the setup in 3ds Max
