Are the online and pdf docs edited in tandem?

Hello again! I finally made it through the docs and I noticed in the final PDF archive page that the modifications and the corresponding date of change are listed. This is extremely helpful and I am very grateful that this information is provided.

I was wondering if the online and offline versions are edited simultaneously. I ask because I just finished making an offline version based on the online docs. I opted to do this since I wanted to have all the gifs, rollovers, and use iframes embedded and so that I could add additional information to the pages.

Everything worked outvery well; but now I just have to keep it current. So, I’m assuming that if I just go and recopy the page that has been designated as altered from the online docs, the changes will be reflected there as well as the PDF. Obviously I will know the answer to this question through experience eventually, but figured I would double check to get a more general answer.

Thanks for the help! Arnold is awesome!

No, the pdf files are exported periodically (eg for major releases), while the online documentation is updated continuously.

Makes sense. I probably should have been able to figure that out. I definitely really appreciate the quality information. It is good to know for sure. Thank you very much!
