Is there a way to surpass 100 ray depth limit in maxtoa?

Specifically for transmission. I know its part of Arnold to help with not crashing and what not but is it possible for us mere mortals? Thanks.

No, it's a hard-coded limit. If you make the total ray depth greater than 100, it is clamped to 100.

Even if we increase the maximum, I think we still need to have some max value to prevent crashes.

Bummer. I would accept the risk but I can see why you would want to avoid it. Thanks for the answer.
