I'm bringing in USD assets for rendering as mayaUsdProxy shapes, and I've noticed the standard Arnold properties tab doesn't appear in the attribute editor for these nodes. Is this an oversight? Is there a way to manually add the complete set of Arnold properties to these nodes?

Hi David, when you look at the attribute editor for meshes inside a usdProxyShape, it shows you the USD attributes for this mesh, so it's quite different from a basic mesh in maya.
There's currently no way to show the arnold attributes as we do with regular meshes, unless they were previously authored in the usd file. We are looking for ways to expose this, it will require work on both mayaUSD and arnold-usd side.
This makes sense for properties such as subdiv and displacement, but it makes rendering quite difficult when there's no obvious way to toggle things like primary visibility. Are there any workarounds you can think of?

David
I would try operators or user options
