Solaris MaterialLibrary Arnold prefix nodes with ai

Hello,

In Houdini Solaris' "materialLibrary" node is it possible to prefix Arnold nodes with "ai". When hitting tab and searching for nodes it is currently impossible to see which are Arnold nodes and which are Karma nodes. MaterialX and Pixar prefix all their nodes with "Mtlx" and "pxr".


Are all materials meant to build with the "Arnold Material Builder" node? If so, why are the nodes available outside that node as well?

thats the exact reason arnold materialbuilder exists. Its just a convenience subnetwork with a tab mask menu to filter out arnold specific nodes. its still the same context, only filtered.

you can also create your own subnets with filtered menus or check the existing nodes like the mtlx subnet which has a similar function.

Gotcha, thats good to know! Still though a prefix would be handy to have, so it mimics other third party renderers.
