Hi there, i'm having an issue with mix shader, Arnold 5.0.0.1 in Maya 2022.3, just plugged a file with png to shader 1 in mix node, and car paint Out color to shader 2 in mix node, Mix input in mix node is a checker. As you can see the Car paint is not showing, just gray squares, but the material seems to be correct since is the same is applied to the cube.
but if i change car paint to an aistandarsurface node it shows as spected, so i'm guessing it's a limitation or a bug.
Found this topic with the same problem, but i'm trying to figure it out if this can be made with Mix shader not layering textures.
Btw, my objective is to apply a decal over a material like car paint or aistandarsurface is it possible to do it without dealing with UV? how? (objects in top pictures examples have uv)
