I just updated my Arnold and immediately ran into a freaky crash that is the opposite of what I have been seeing in the threads and forums. Most users get crashes with the GPU rendering when the CPU works fine, mine is the opposite. Any thoughts? I am not currently using SSS or displacement. But I am working on a character imported from CC3 something I have done dozens of times successfully for going on a year
The first thing to check is an Arnold log (with verbosity level = Info).
Arnold 5 is MtoA 5.0.0.2 I guess?
What if you Ignore Textures and Ignore Shaders? Still crash? (using the Ignore flags is one way to narrow it down)
