Arnold C4D Hair UVs

Hello there. I'm trying to figure out how to create some sort of animal fur, with spots and stripes of different color, but when I connect a noise map to the Base Color port of the standard hair shader, the noise is applied but it's not "sticking", and it looks like a projection. Can anyone point me to what's the correct workflow for creating this? Thanks.

What's the coordinate space of the noise?

I was using a C4D noise connected to an Arnold Ramp (the coordinates are set to 'custom') and that output into the Base Color.

And what's the coordinate space of the c4d noise? Texture or UV(2D)?

Add an Arnold tag to the Hair object and enable Export UVs. Select the UV space in the noise.

If you want an artistic look, not necessary realistic, then you might want to enable Diffuse in the standard_hair shader and connect the shader to the Diffuse Color.

Ah, now it works like a charm. Thank you all of your input!
