Volume mesh displacement falloff and color

First of I wanna thank Lee Griggs for all the amazing stuff he is making! This is a pure inspiration.

I've seen some posts on a nearly the same topic already, but I've faced some issues wasn't covered before. First: I've tried everything connecting a color texture to the Scattering Color port, but it has no result. Arnold takes just on color from an image and the whole volume look monochrome from this color.

Second: I'm trying to make a displacement texture falloff, but not sure how it should be connected correctly. So my portrait scene looks too much evenly displaced.

Please, help me, guys. Much appreciated.

Thanks, Denni! Try adding a circular ramp before the texture and position it over the face. This should give you some falloff between the head and the volume.

Yap, I will try this, thank you. But what about the colorization? Why may it not work?
