Substance to Maya Arnold - How to refresh textures?

Hi,

I am exporting my textures out of Substance to be used in Maya Arnold and it renders fine and all looks good. But when I change some attribute in Substance and re-export the maps, Arnold renders the mesh with the old version of the texture.

How do I make Arnold use the latest version of textures each time I render?

I'm on version 2.1.0.2

Thankyou

Hey, you need to update your .tx files. Arnold reads the tx files at render time. If they have the same name it won't update. If you go to Arnold menu, utilities, and go to update tx files that will update your texture. You would have to do that each time you update your textures. This can also be done in the tx manager also. Good Luck!!

I can't believe this, we live in 2019, XSI did this, Blender does it and so does every other 3D package. You just tweak your texture in another app then when you switch back it automatically updates the textures for you, but no, Maya and Arnold can't do this, you have to manually trigger a rebuild of the .tx files, talk about slowing down the workflow, this makes me so frustrated and angry, 2019 sigh!
