Saving material presets with texture nodes

I am making the transition from V-Ray to Arnold. I was fortunate enough to use Siger Shaders, which was an external material importer for Maya via a command port. As far as I know, no such thing exists yet for Arnold. Version 5 has some nice presets but it's still very limited. So now I am trying to replicate my Siger shaders using the aiStandardSurface material. I got a nice result but when I save the preset, it does not save my textures. For example, I am making a wood preset for oak. All of the settings and nodes are there, but when I load the preset, the texture nodes with my diffuse, spec and bump map don't come in with it. I always have to manually go to the file node and hookup the maps again. Is there a way to save the presets which include my texture maps? Below are the images. The material network is what I want the preset to be, but the the right side of the hypershade shows how it comes in when I load it. When I load it, the network is missing, and it turns all black. Just as a reference, I included a pic of how the Siger shader plugin works, so maybe knows if there is something similar for Arnold.

I have the same exact problem. All texture related nodes and even some that aren't texture related don't save with the shader.

Export your shader as .ma file via Hypershade
select your shader and file/Export selected Network

That's what I did and it has been working great for years.

In fact, the best method is to create a "cutom tab" in the hypershade pointing to the folder where you save your materials and then you will have a tab with all your shaders in it.

The problem is the icon creation..., I am yet to understand how to do that.
