Isolate color to mask

Hello,

Somebody know what is the better workflow to isolate a color?

I want to get this if I select red circles..

I have done with next nodes: Composite (difference mode by red color) and Color Correct (invert, low gamma and up contrast). Although visually the results seem to be right, data picker gives me results that are not completely black/white, and I think that force gamma and contrast is not the better way of course.

Maybe someone knows something Composite operation (or combination) to isolate a color properly.

Thanks

Hey - I wonder if you've received any answer on this? I'm re-texturing a model that has been textured originally in Maya, and I was given a few RGB masks. I'm trying to figure out how to isolate and use the red, green, blue masks. I guess it's what you were looking for too.

Thanks

What you describe sounds like a different issue. If you just need to isolate the R, G and B channels you can do that by selecting the given channel from the image node outputs:

Alternatively you can use the Single channel and Start channel options on the image shader, or use a shuffle shader.
