Arnold doesnt work in maya at all

My processor supports SSE 4.2, i verified with coreinfo, but arnold just doesnt want to work, i've been having this problem for over a year, i already did fresh installations of everything, now i just installed Maya 2018, and still have the same problem. When i first installed Arnold it worked just fine for some time.

When i open Maya, i get this message

// Warning: file: C:/Program Files/Autodesk/Maya2018/scripts/others/supportRenderers.mel line 64: The renderer "arnold" used by this scene, is not currently available. The "mayaSoftware" renderer will be used instead.

I already tried to load the mtoa plugin in the plugin manager but it gives me this:

// Error: file: C:/Program Files/Autodesk/Maya2018/scripts/others/pluginWin.mel line 290: initializePlugin function failed (mtoa)

And then this in the output window:

API error detected in plugins\mtoa\extension\ExtensionsManager.cpp at line 622 : (kFailure): Unexpected Internal Failure API error detected in plugins\mtoa\extension\ExtensionsManager.cpp at line 622 : (kFailure): Unexpected Internal Failure API error detected in plugins\mtoa\extension\ExtensionsManager.cpp at line 622 : (kFailure): Unexpected Internal Failure API error detected in plugins\mtoa\extension\ExtensionsManager.cpp at line 622 : (kFailure): Unexpected Internal Failure API error detected in plugins\mtoa\Main.cpp at line 1065 : (kFailure): Unexpected Internal Failure 00:00:00 706MB ERROR | Failed to register renderer 'arnold'

Post a Process Monitor log, and the output of the MEL command system("set")

ACCESS DENIED for C:\Users\Samuel\Documents\pymel.log

You need to check the permissions on that log file, or delete it so that PyMel can create a new log file.

Note that the pymel.log file may be a hidden file.

yes that was it.

This file must have stayed untouched even after all fresh installations, thank you so much
