I have an educational account for my school with AutoDesk, I'm an administrator. We use EDU licenses.
Our goal is to set up a render network to continue our students education in rendering, network rendering and using command tools such as Kick.
My questions are as follows:
Do I only need the Autodesk Network License Manager?
The server which allows a number of users on the same network to share access to product licenses. The Network License Manager (NLM), installed on one or more servers, controls the distribution of licenses to users.
Thus avoiding the Arnold 2018, 64 Bit License Server for Linux, used to install the RLM License Server, because we have EDU Licenses?
Thank you for you time.
Edu licenses use the Autodesk Network License Manager.
You don't need an RLM license server.
Thanks that's what I thought. Just wanted to confirm.
So we can just use the Arnold plugin to network render then from within Maya?
