Hi, I would like all the parameters contained within the Arnold Parameters tag to be saved together with a material. The reason is, when I add for example a transparent material to an object I always forget to add a parameters tag with the Opaque parameter set to off. Also, for displacement materials, there are many parameters to define: subdivision type, iterations, displacement height, etc. There is no way to remember all these settings for every material in my library. My workaround is to create a remark node in the material network where I write down all the parameter values, then every time I add the material to an object, I add a parameters tag, look at the remark node in the material and manually copy over all the parameters. This is very tedious, time consuming and error prone.
Perhaps a solution could be to make available a special "Parameters" node to the material network so that all the parameter values are saved with the material. And if anyone decided to add a parameter tag in addition, that tag will override all the values of the parameter node in the material.
That's an interesting idea, I'll definitely think about something to improve this workflow.
