Arnold AOV tab failure MtoA

Hello everybody.
This is what I consistently get when I open the AOVs tab in the Render Settings, and it buggers me off a lot.
I tried to reset the UI, to no avail.
Can anybody tell me what to do, please?

Sounds painful.

Do you mean you deleted your Prefs folder? If not, try that.

Ok, I concede I'd better doublecheck the vocabulary before following my British friends 🙂 🙂
Anyway, this thing gives not only me a lot of annoyance.
Yes, I deleted the Prefs folder and it didn't work. This thing is kinda related with "too many AOVs" listed (which is unlikely, since I prompted only 19 of them): Maya tells me that I "exceded" some UI "lenght". Furthermore, the issue is related to a specific project: it doesn't happen when I start a brand new scene, andt it shows up as soon as I import asset from the faulty project, mercilessly. Of course, there are workarounds... but being able to just import the project makes life sooooooo much easier.
Is there any magic Python potion to this thing, please?

Yes, I have had this issue in the past, although not for a long time now. I was going to suggest that you import the scene into a new scene which is what I used to do, but it looks like you have already tried that. Maybe create a new project/scene and see if that helps? 😕

I ran into this problem. The ui needs to reset. Select another renderer like Maya software or Maya vector and then change the renderer back to Arnold and that should fix it. I was trying to figure it out without losing my aov's and that seems to work.

Mhhh I resolved my issue by clicking on "Delete All" in the small window.

Then, you reload the render engine by selecting Maya Software then reselecting Arnold Renderer. Hopefully it fixes your issue.

Nah it just keeps triggering the error.

I think we really need a python line that resets the AOV tab.
