Recommended way to get unpremultiplied color data (maya2018 and arnold5)

I need to render out unpremultiplied (by alpha) colors from Arnold. PNG is the desired color input for another 3rd party tool I have to use. The tool expects unpremultiplied colors so std png would have been fine.

I understand why Arnold does not support PNG anymore but if I actually need that output, what is the recommended approach. I am outputting EXR files but cannot really tell whether they are premultiplied or not. I am happy to write the ImageMagick command to extract what I need from it, but how can I tell that it has what I need. In fact, I’m not sure IM would let me do what I need anyway.

In short, what is the recommended way to get unpremultiplied color data out of arnold5 (maya2018).
