My .tx files randomly turn black.
I would lookdev a shot and check to see if the render is correct in ipr, then submit it to the farm. And objects would appear black in the render.
I would take a look at the tx file the object is using and find out it is black.
I've had this happen multiple times now and am getting tired of fixing random tx files.
It's also a hassle as I have to close all instances of scenes that are using the tx file before I can create a new one. And I can't control it if someone else on the team has a scene open when I want to submit renders in the weekend...
Has anyone ever had a similar problem or any idea what's causing this?
I've also noticed my texture folder containing .temp.tx files (maybe from previously crashes during tx creation?) Maybe those can be a cause?
Regards,
Aron
The .temp.tx files might indicate that there was an error during tx generation. Is there anything in the log maybe? Just to be clear, if you generate the tx file the second time (after it failed), then it produces the correct file. Is that right?

You don't have to close the scenes, just flush the texture cache (Plugins > C4DtoA > Flush caches > Textures).
Thanks for the response Peter,
Yes, when I create a .tx file a second time it produces the correct file, but I can only get this to work if I manually delete the .tx file. (which I'm only able to do if the files is not used by others) Delete .tx from the tx manager return this error:
Error: WindowsError: file C:\solidangle\mtoadeploy\2018\scripts\mtoa\txManager.py line 652: 32 #
Clicking on Create tx (or Delete tx) to create a new and correct .tx file doesn't seem work when the .tx file is being used (like on the farm and on other machines).
Sorry, I thought you are using Cinema 4D. You can not delete or overwrite a file while it's used by another process. It might also be possible that Arnold still keeps the file locked after the render, that's when flushing the texture cache helps.
When rendering I get the following error: [texturesys] 0: Invalid tile byte count, tile 4004 (followed by the tx filename)
