Outputting N, Z and diffuse_albedo AOVs, 'Output Variance AOV' is checked, Merge AOVs is checked, tried each AOV data/filter set to default, RGBA/variance respectively, saving image as Multi Layer exe, still getting same errors each time:
Could not find AOV with source RGBA and filter Could not find AOV with source RGBA and filter variance_filter Variance is missing for some AOVs.
mtoa 3.0.0.1. core 5.1.0.0.
Any ideas? Where am I going wrong?
So you can't use Noice at ALL with the trial version of Arnold (no batch render option)?
That's... disappointing. Why do you need batch render for a single, layered exr frame?
maybe the team can give you the answer for your " why".
I get exactlly the same issue as you, until I do batch render, then the pb solved.
@rachyd I got this to work with much trial and error. Firs turn on Output variance in the Render Settings AOV tab. Then add a custom AOV called “RGB” and set it’s filter to variance. It should be type “rgb”. Click the little arrow next to the AOV line (at the bottom of Render Settings) and select the AOV driver. In the Attribute Editor click “merged” on.
Then render. If you pass -i <image name> to noice it should work.
I’m not in front of Maya now but I think that’s correct.
I would like to use Noice and render via Arnold Render View, but this error (like topic says - Could not find AOV...) appears.
It is some bug or we are limited only to batch rendering when we want to use Noice ?
Arnold Render View doesn't write frames to disk, and it doesn't output the variance AOVs.
Render Current Frame does output the variance AOVs
As does Render Sequence
