You cannot render an ASS file with render.exe

Use kick to render ass files.

And kick -rg to specify a region. See https://support.solidangle.com/x/wAC3

hello again, and @r Stephen Blair

how would you please name the different regions, as i did with maya render -im pane_0 etc... In order to not overwrite the rendered part ? how would you write it in DOS prompt? thanks in advance ; can i render (batch render) the 4or6 parts in a same argument?

, i have an issue to render region! within maya render (earlier version) i was able to render 9 regions and paste them in photoshop , ; with arnold renderer i have a black square (lets say) and at the top left inside, i have a the rendered region! the problem is , i just want to render this region , not inside a rectangular dark rendered image; hope you understand what i mean ; i have 9 different regions that i paste in photoshop with that command line; i wonder how arnold cant do that

Render -x 6000 -y 6000 -xl 0 -xr 1999 -yl 0 -yh 1999 -im pane_0 C:tempballs.mb Render -x 6000 -y 6000 -xl 0 -xr 1999 -yl 2000 -yh 3999 -im pane_1 C:tempballs.mb Render -x 6000 -y 6000 -xl 0 -xr 1999 -yl 4000 -yh 5999 -im pane_2 C:tempballs.mb Render -x 6000 -y 6000 -xl 2000 -xr 3999 -yl 0 -yh 1999 -im pane_3 C:tempballs.mb Render -x 6000 -y 6000 -xl 2000 -xr 3999 -yl 2000 -yh 3999 -im pane_4 C:tempballs.mb Render -x 6000 -y 6000 -xl 2000 -xr 3999 -yl 4000 -yh 5999 -im pane_5 C:tempballs.mb Render -x 6000 -y 6000 -xl 4000 -xr 5999 -yl 0 -yh 1999 -im pane_6 C:tempballs.mb Render -x 6000 -y 6000 -xl 4000 -xr 5999 -yl 2000 -yh 3999 -im pane_7 C:tempballs.mb Render -x 6000 -y 6000 -xl 4000 -xr 5999 -yl 4000 -yh 5999 -im pane_8 C:tempballs.mb
