unable to determine rendering color space chromaticities for "ACES

Hi all

I started playing with the latest 5.1 and when rendering, I get a warning I am not having in 5.0.2.3

// Warning: [color_manager] unable to determine rendering color space chromaticities for "ACES - ACEScg": using "linear sRGB" chromaticities //

Anyone else got this?

Aces ocio config 1.0.3
Maya 2018.2
Arnold 5.1.0.0 - mtoa 3.0.0.1

thanks a lot!

If the selected view (narrow) color space applies tone mapping that messes up the chromaticity computations in the Arnold color manager and it shows the above warning. It will be fixed in a future release.

You think it can be fix fast? Since we are on a feature film right now that need's to start some rendering to feed the comp dept.... thanks for your insight!

is it just a bad warning..... Or it really stops using aces chromaticities? ..... since the log state so

What will happen is that thin film, physical sky, spectral diffraction, blackbody will not look right, they will look saturated. In general for other effects it should not make a difference.

If that's an option you can use the "Utility - sRGB - Texture" as the view (narrow) color space from the config file. We try to fix this in one of the next releases but I can not tell any ETA at the moment.

How about now?

This supposed to be fixed in Arnold 6.0 for the OCIO color manager, which now uses the chromaticities of known default color spaces in this case.
