Can't Arnold's user data node grab color from C4D user data gradient?

Recently I've been doing some simple starting rigs of Arnold scene. And I want to control Background gradient using the user data function in C4D, As is shown below:

However, the user_data_rgb node seems not grabbing color from the user data of gradients. It always outputs the default value, which is black in this case. BTW, I let the user_data_rgb node output to the color port of a flat node, if this helps the description.

Is there any way to achieve this?

Anyone's reply will be much appreciated!

The Gradient data type is not supported. For user data, use float, boolean, integer, string, color

Thanks. Any chance that the Gradient data type be supported?

You can define two (or multiple) colors as user data and link them to the ramp_rgb shader. I don't think the gradient type will be directly supported in the short-mid term.
