The node names have changed in the 2.3.0 release, for instance we don't use the 'c4d|' prefix any more. Therefore the cryptomatte shader does not recognize the name coming from C4DtoA, which might explain the crash. (I have no crash in my simple test scene though.) I think a new build is coming supporting the new naming, but Jonah can confirm.
A new version is coming very soon where the new style of the names is processed much like the old ones. The crash (at least the one I know about) happens when you have non-AOV shaders in your scene as well, like shadow matte or utility, and this has also been fixed.
HI
I'm getting this error in Maya for the latest Cryptomatte (beta3)
00:00:00 746MB WARNING | unable to load dynamic library C:/Arnold_Shader/Cryptomatte/bin\cryptomatte.dll: The specified module could not be found.
any solutions?
This is the same crash? If not, can you ask a new question please?
tested the new Cryptomatte_2.0.0b3-ai5.1.0.1
c4D : worked fine
Maya 2018 Update 2: not working (00:00:00 746MB WARNING | unable to load dynamic library

I have an answer. Ask a new question so I can respond.
I highly recommend re-downloading Beta 3, especially if you're on Windows. There was an issue with the build which is now resolved (which also is likely the cause of @rachid Hadj Abderrahmane's issues).
