Hi, I have noticed, that some folks connect the bump node directly to the beauty port, vs, to the geometry port of the standard shader, since i have not experimented, is there any difference,? or is this just a personal preference,? thx
The old Arnold 4 workflow (C4DtoA 1.x) was to connect the bump to the beauty port. In Arnold 5 (C4DtoA 2.x) it has to be connected to the standard surface Geometry parameter, since it now outputs a normal vector instead of a color.
